Silver Leaf is the easiest recommendation in this entire issue, and the reason is simple arithmetic: it is the best-rated six-bedroom villa in Alibaug at 4.9, and the cheapest, at ₹26,500 a night. Those two things almost never belong to the same villa.

Six bedrooms, seven bathrooms — one spare — a private pool, our Ananta Élite tier and the Like a 5 Star mark. Across twenty guests it works out around ₹1,325 a head on a weekday, which is less per person than most four-bedroom villas on this coast. If your dates are free, book this and stop reading. If they are not, the next nine pages are why.

Casa Bella carries nine bathrooms for six bedrooms — three spare, the most generous ratio of any villa in this issue. For twenty-two people getting ready for a dinner at the same time, that is worth more than any amenity on the list.

It is also the only villa here in our Luxe Collection, the top tier of the whole Stay Ananta portfolio, rated 4.8 at ₹60,000 a night. The setting is Kashid, the long clean beach about an hour south of Alibaug town — quieter than Mandwa, with far less built around it. Worth the extra drive if the group intends to stay put.

Casa Palmera matches Casa Bella’s 4.8 rating at ₹36,200 a night — roughly forty per cent less. Six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a private swimming pool, Most Desired Collection.

The trade is the bathroom ratio: one per bedroom here against three spare at Casa Bella. For an extended family who are used to each other that is a non-issue, and the twenty-four thousand a night you save pays for the meal package several times over. For twenty friends sharing, pay the difference.

Summer Salt is the second-cheapest six-bedroom villa in this edit at ₹34,000 a night, rated 4.7, with six bedrooms, six bathrooms and a private pool.

It is the coastal classic of the list — the sort of villa people picture when they say Alibaug: shaded verandahs, salt in the air, and a pool you use at four in the afternoon rather than at noon. October to February is the season here, and the monsoon is when the same villa costs least.

Gatsby House is rated 4.7 at ₹40,000 a night — six bedrooms, six bathrooms and a private swimming pool, in our Most Desired Collection.

The name tells you what it gets booked for. If you are planning a birthday, an anniversary or anything with a guest list beyond the people sleeping there, say so when you enquire rather than after you have paid the balance. Outside catering, a DJ and day guests all need clearing in advance, and we would rather tell you yes in writing than have you find out on arrival.

Gardenia is the garden villa of this edit — six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a private pool and the kind of usable flat outdoor ground that decides whether twenty people spend the weekend indoors or outside. Rated 4.6 at ₹43,000 a night.

For a daytime function, a long lunch for an extended family, or simply a group that wants to be outdoors in the months Alibaug is best for it, outdoor ground matters more than an extra bathroom. This is the villa we put forward when someone describes the weekend rather than the headcount.

Pranaam carries eight bathrooms for six bedrooms — two spare — rated 4.6 at ₹65,000 a night, with a private pool and our Most Desired Collection.

This is a large-group villa in the proper sense: enough bathrooms that twenty-two guests never form a queue, and enough common space that they are not on top of each other. It is the alternative we check when Casa Bella at Kashid is gone and the group still needs the bathroom count.

The Charcoal Villa is the architectural pick of this edit — six bedrooms, six bathrooms and a private pool, rated 4.5 at ₹65,000 a night. The name is the design brief: dark, restrained, and far more striking in person than in a thumbnail.

It is the villa for a group that cares what the place looks like as much as how it functions. If the bathroom ratio matters more to you than the architecture, Pranaam is the same rate with two more.

Casa Frangipani is six bedrooms with seven bathrooms and a private pool at ₹54,000 a night, rated 4.3 and carrying the Like a 5 Star mark.

On this coast most days end up being spent within ten metres of the pool, so that layout is worth more than it reads on paper. Worth asking about when the villas above it are taken on your dates, which in season they usually are.
