Two bedrooms is a short list in Karjat — one house, and we would rather say so than pad the page. Vintage Estate is a genuine whole villa with its own plunge pool, booked for your group alone, at the lowest nightly rate of any property we have in the valley.

The house

Vintage Estate

Two bedrooms, both on the ground floor, with two bathrooms and space for up to eight guests. The pool is a plunge pool — 17 ft by 12 ft and up to 3 ft deep — which is the honest description; it is for cooling off and for children, not for lengths. The grounds carry the character: a lawn with chikoo and mango trees, a gazebo, a bonfire pit, a small temple, and vintage furniture and artefacts through the house. There are lake and hill views from the property. Parking is secured for four cars.

It is rated 4.6 from verified guest stays.

Why two bedrooms in Karjat?

The cheapest way into the valley

At around ₹13,000 a night this is the lowest rate we have anywhere in Karjat. The nearest alternative is the three-bedroom collection, which starts at about ₹14,000 — so if your group is six or more, compare the two before deciding, because the gap is small.

Eight guests in two bedrooms

The capacity is higher than the bedroom count suggests. Divided across eight people, ₹13,000 works out at roughly ₹1,600 a head for a whole private villa with a pool, which is below most hotel rooms in the area in season.

A private pool, like every villa we take

The plunge pool is inside the property and yours alone — no shared access, no slot to book. We have not taken on a property without a private pool since 2017.

Meals cooked in the house

Vintage Estate has its own kitchen staff and offers a meal package, charged per person per day separately from the tariff, with a reduced rate for children. Maharashtrian home cooking is what the kitchens here do best.

How much does a 2 BHK villa in Karjat cost per night?

Around ₹13,000 a night. There is one house at this size, so there is no range to quote — what moves is the calendar, not the property.

Monsoon weekends, Diwali, Christmas and New Year carry the highest rates and go first. March to May is the cheapest window, and it is when the pool earns its keep.

What if Vintage Estate is taken on my dates?

With one house at this size it is worth having a second option ready.

Karjat or Alibaug for two bedrooms?

Karjat is a valley — hills, rivers, waterfalls after rain, and no sea. It is at its best between June and September, exactly when the coast is at its worst. Alibaug at this size is about ₹3,000 more a night and gives you beaches instead. Pick Karjat for the monsoon and for green; pick Alibaug for the dry months and the sea.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 2 BHK villa in Karjat cost per night?

Around 13,000 rupees. There is one house at this size, Vintage Estate, so there is no range to quote. It is also the lowest nightly rate of any villa we have in Karjat at any size. Meals are charged separately.

How many 2 BHK villas in Karjat do you have?

How many guests fit in a 2 BHK villa in Karjat?

Up to eight at Vintage Estate, which is more than the bedroom count suggests. Across eight people that works out at roughly 1,600 rupees a head for a whole private villa with a pool. Tell us your headcount and we will confirm what the house will comfortably take.

Is the pool a full-size swimming pool?

No, and it is worth being clear about that. Vintage Estate has a plunge pool, 17 ft by 12 ft and up to 3 ft deep. It is for cooling off and for children rather than for swimming lengths. It is private to your group, with no shared access.

What is Vintage Estate like?

Two ground-floor bedrooms, two bathrooms, and grounds that carry most of the character — a lawn with chikoo and mango trees, a gazebo, a bonfire pit, a small temple, and vintage furniture and artefacts through the house. There are lake and hill views from the property. It is rated 4.6 from verified guest stays.

Is it cheaper than a 3 BHK in Karjat?

Only just. Vintage Estate is about 13,000 rupees and the three-bedroom houses start at about 14,000. If your group is six or more, compare the two properly rather than assuming the smaller one is better value — the extra bedroom often costs less than it saves.

Does it have a private pool?

Yes. The plunge pool is inside the property and yours alone, with no shared access and no time slot to book. We have not taken on a property without a private pool since 2017.

Can I book one bedroom instead of the whole villa?

No. This is a whole-villa booking. The house, the garden and the pool are yours alone for the length of your stay.

Is food included?

Is there parking?

Yes, secured parking for up to four cars at the property.

Should I book two bedrooms in Karjat or in Alibaug?

Karjat if you are travelling between June and September, or if you want hills, rivers and green rather than sand. Alibaug for the dry months and the coastline, though it starts higher at this size, at about 16,200 rupees. The monsoon closes the sea and disrupts the Alibaug ferries, which is exactly when Karjat is at its best.

When is the best time to visit Karjat?

The monsoon between June and September is the signature season, when the valley is green and the waterfalls run. October to February is dry and mild. March to May is hot, which is when the rates are lowest and the pool matters most.

How far ahead should I book?

Three to four weeks for an ordinary weekend, six to eight for a long weekend or a holiday. With a single house at this size there is nothing to fall back on at the same price, so book earlier than you would for a bigger size.

How do I get to Karjat from Mumbai?

By road it is roughly 100 km on the old Mumbai to Pune highway, two to two and a half hours depending on where you start. Trains run on the Central Line to Karjat station, with the villa a short drive away. The last stretch is a village road, so send the map pin to your driver rather than the villa name.

Is Vintage Estate pet-friendly?

Tell us your dates and that you are bringing a dog and we will check with the owner before you book. More of our Karjat houses accept pets on request than are formally tagged, since each owner decides.

How do I check availability and book?

Open the villa page. It shows a live calendar with the dates that are free and the rate for those nights, and takes the booking directly on the site.
